A full day to wander through and wonder at the incredible art and architectural wealth within the Vatican. In the morning we will visit the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, the Pinacoteca devoted mainly to Italian painters and some of Raphael’s tapestries, and two areas normally closed to the public: the Niccoline Chapel with frescoes by Fra Angelico and Bramante’s staircase.
In the afternoon we will visit St Peter’s Basilica, the world-renowned work of Renaissance and Baroque architecture and the largest church on earth.
Accommodation: 4th night at Hotel Capo d’Africa, Rome.
