After checking out of our hotel we will visit Villa Farnesina, the grand suburban home of a Sienese banker and papal treasurer, with elaborately frescoed rooms. At the Church of San Pietro in Montorio we will see Bramante’s Tempietto. This small martyrium is considered a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture.

Our last stop before departing Rome will be the Galleria Borghese, home to works by Raphael, Titian, Veronese, Parmigianino, Caravaggio, Bernini and other art luminaries.

In the late afternoon we will travel by private bus to the dramatically positioned hilltop town of Orvieto. After checking in to our hotel, we will head out for a special group dinner with the meal featuring Orvieto’s traditional cuisine.
